What studyjapan is

studyjapan is the online application platform for MAEDA’s education consulting service. You build one application, MAEDA’s staff review it and propose suitable schools in Japan, and MAEDA submits the application packages you approve. The platform is a tool for that service; it is not itself a school and does not make admission decisions.

Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Verifying your email address is required before you can submit an application. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should use the platform with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Your responsibilities

• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information and documents.
• Upload only documents that are yours or that you are authorized to submit.
• Do not misuse the platform, attempt to access other users’ data, or disrupt the service.

Submitting false or misleading information may lead a school to reject your application and may result in suspension of your account.

MAEDA's role and no guarantee of admission

MAEDA prepares and submits applications and offers guidance based on experience, but admission, visa, and scholarship decisions are made solely by the schools and the relevant authorities. We do not and cannot guarantee admission, a visa, a scholarship, or any particular outcome.

Fees

The studyjapan platform does not process payments. Any fees for MAEDA’s consulting services are agreed separately with MAEDA and are not handled through the platform.

Your content

You keep ownership of the information and documents you provide. You grant MAEDA permission to use them for the purpose of preparing, reviewing, and submitting your applications, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” basis and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may update, improve, or change features over time, and we may update these terms; when we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MAEDA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, or for outcomes that depend on decisions made by schools or authorities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Ending your use

You may stop using the platform and deactivate your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. We will try to resolve any concern informally first — please contact us before taking any other step.
